Craft 1 Campfire (0/1)
Place 1 Campfire (0/1)

Step 2

With a campfire accessible, it is time to make some basic food. Eating raw food is not advised, since it will negatively affect your vigor. Starving will also have a negative affect so it is better if you cook some healthy food. Find some vegetables and fruits to prepare a salad.

Obtain 1 Vegetables (0/1)
Obtain 1 Fruits (0/1)

Step 3

Now access the campfire and prepare a salad. Unlike raw food, prepared meals will gradually increase your vigor, that positively affects all of your stats by boosting their maximum value and increasing weapon and tool speeds.

Step 4

Finally, satisfy your hunger and enjoy the freshly prepared salad. Eating better meals can provide temporary positive effects in addition to just satisfying hunger. Right-click the salad in the inventory to consume it, or drag it to the toolbar for quick access.
